Firwood Avenue Bifold
Herts Bifold Doors were asked to supply and install a five-pane Anthracite grey bifold door to the rear kitchen diner. We provided our Origin Easifold door, a top-of-the-range aluminium bifold. The client had already had all her existing windows installed by our sister company, G&N Windows, so we were pleased when we got the go ahead for the work required to the new extension.
First of all we make sure the frame sits on a level surface, so the installers level the opening through.
The outer frame is made up on site and lifted into position within the prepared opening.
Once in place, the frame is fixed with brick screws into the opening. The builders were impressed with the simplicity of the outer frame installation
With the frame securely fitted, the doors can be lifted on individually. Our manufacturer guarantees all hardware and runnung gear for its doors for twenty years, this product will last a lifetime.
Third door is carefully lifted onto its carriage.
The third door is hung.
The outer frame has been installed correctly so each door will fit perfectly.
When the last door is on, our installers check they all slide properly without snagging.
All five doors slide effortlessly to the right. Glazing next - with Argon-filled 28mm double-glazed units with a low E-coating. The doors meet all current building regulations.
Once the glass is in, gaskets are installed internally.
All glazed and ready for sealing.
An installer checks the operation of the doors before leaving the site. The installation time was six hours. Our client was very pleased with the overall quality and look of the doors (more photos to follow when builders have completed their contract).
